SANTA MARIA LA LONGA. The lifeless body of a 69-year-old man residing in Percoto was found, in the late morning of Saturday 28 May, in a canal in Merlana, in the municipality of Santa Maria la Longa, in via Don Orione.
According to a first hypothesis, the man, for reasons yet to be ascertained, would have fallen into the canal while he was riding his bicycle.
The 118 health workers, the firefighters and the carabinieri intervened on the spot to reconstruct the incident. The man had left the house on the evening of Friday 27 May and had never returned. It was a relative who found him and raised the alarm.
