He feels bad in the church in Gaiarine: “Ambulance waited for a long time”

by admin

The mayor: «The ambulance arrived after 40 minutes, we need a 118 point in Orsago». Ulss: “Exceptional situation with 14 interventions in progress”

GAIARINE.Shortly before 10 am on Sunday 13 June morning, a woman fell ill and fell in the church in Francenigo, where the First Communions. When she fell, the woman sustained a wound and began to bleed. Nothing serious, fortunately: the patient has always remained conscious and her condition, after the rescue, has improved during the day.

Just on the timing of the rescue, however, the mayor Diego Zanchetta has called into question the Ulss 2, arguing that 40 minutes of waiting for the ambulance is too long. The Ulss replied that it was a completely exceptional situation: the emergency call started at 10.04 but there were 14 concurrent rescue interventions, some more serious. The ambulance, which left at 10.25, arrived in about a quarter of an hour: the total wait was 37 minutes, and not three quarters of an hour, as contested on social media, for a patient who was always alert and conscious. For the mayor it is a general problem, namely the fact that the Municipality of Gaiarine is located in the peripheral area with respect to points 118, and between Veneto and Friuli.

«Believing that never before, given the particular moment we are going through, is it important being able to alleviate the pressure on hospitals by decentralizing local services on the territory, we asked to guard the area with a 118 point and an ambulance available, to intervene even more promptly in case of need, to be placed in the Municipality of Orsago ». This is the text of a letter sent a few months ago to Ulss 2 by the mayors of Codognè, Godega and Orsago.

Yesterday the need was reiterated by the mayor of Gaiarine Diego Zanchetta, the occasion was the illness which occurred in the church in Francenigo, “but it could happen again”. The mayor makes it known that, with the Municipality of Orsago, an agreement has already been reached on the location of the rescue point. —
