FAGAGNA. The driver of a car, a 71-year-old resident of San Daniele, lost control of the vehicle, a microcar, for reasons yet to be ascertained, and went off the road after hitting and knocking down a public lighting pole. It happened in Fagagna, around 2 pm on Monday 25 October, along the former provincial road 5, near the Tonutti factory.

The 118 health workers intervened on the spot with an ambulance, the local police for the reliefs and the firefighters to make them safe. The driver was transported to the Udine hospital. His condition is serious, but he would not be life threatening.

Also in Fagagna, just before 4 pm, there was another accident, in via Spilimbergo. A motorcycle and a car collided for reasons still being examined by local police officers. The motorcyclist, a 64-year-old man, suffered several injuries following the fall and was transported to the hospital. His condition would not be particularly bad. Some slowdown in vehicular traffic is inevitable for the time necessary to allow all rescue operations and the removal of vehicles and debris from the roadway.
