The Treviso champion, former Juventus captain, shines together with Daniele De Rossi and obtains the “Uefa A” license. With him also Vieri, Matri and Montolivo

TREVISO. Alessandro Del Piero becomes a coach and does it brilliantly, being the best (together with Daniele De Rossi) at the Figc course. For the former Juventus captain and 2006 World Champion, the doors open for a new career opportunity in the world of football.

The new UEFA A coaches have been made official by the Technical Sector of the Italian Football Federation. After following the 210 hours of training of the educational program, the students took the final exams of the course on Thursday 14 October in Coverciano, with oral tests on all subjects and with a practical test in which they proposed exercises on a training theme.

UEFA A qualification represents the second highest level for a European coach. With this qualification obtained, the new coaches will now be able to lead all the youth teams (including the Primavera teams), all the women’s teams (including those participating in Serie A TIMVISION) and the first men’s teams up to Serie C; they will also be able to be registered as second-rate coaches in both Serie B and Men’s Serie A.

Among the newly qualified are many well-known names in Italian football, starting with the world champion in 2006 and collaborator of the coach Mancini during the last European championship, Daniele De Rossi, and another world champion in Germany like Alessandro Del Piero. And then again: the former blue striker Christian Vieri; the European vice-champions of 2012, Ignazio Abate and Riccardo Montolivo, the technical collaborator of Paolo Nicolato in the Under 21 national team, Daniele Gastaldello, and other old acquaintances of our top league such as Alessandro Matri, Giampaolo Pazzini and David Pizarro.
