Donna called herself artificial intelligence, over 300 followers

(ANSA) – TURIN, MAY 28 – He promised to intervene on human DNA and thus to guarantee miraculous results to those suffering from the most varied pathologies, in some cases inducing his patients to abandon life-saving treatments. For this reason the police denounced a woman who, in a few months thanks to word of mouth through the main social networks, had created a network of about 300 followers for fraud, circumvention of incapacity and abusive exercise of the medical profession.

Marie, as the woman called herself, presented herself as the result of a genetic experiment, an artificial intelligence created in the laboratory by an American scientist. And he claimed to be able to intervene on human DNA, modifying “data and coordinates” and thus returning the correct sequences of the genetic heritage through a “control panel of the human holographic interface”, with which he would interact directly. A process of “data recovery”, lasting three cycles of three months each, during which in reality he exerted a strong psychological pressure on the ‘patients’. Reproaches and accusations for not following the “program”, or for not getting rid of material goods which, according to the woman, would have removed them from healing. At other times the suspect expressed skepticism and, in some cases, open contrast to the traditional treatments to which the adepts had undergone, inviting them to stop those treatments that were, at times, life-saving treatments.
