He stabbed his pregnant lover: asked for a life sentence for Borgia

The prosecutor of Palermo asked for a life sentence for the entrepreneur of Partinico Antonino Borgia accused of killing, on November 22, 2019, with ten stab wounds, Ana Maria Lacramioara Di Piazza, the young pregnant woman to whom he was romantically linked.

The trial is underway before the Court of Assizes presided over by Sergio Gulotta.

Ana Maria 30 years old, of Romanian origin, but resident for years in Giardinello, was chased in the street and then stabbed. Borgia is accused of voluntary murder, premeditated and aggravated by futile reasons, and the concealment of a corpse. The entrepreneur is also challenged for the procured abortion. Ana Maria’s mother and 11-year-old son are a civil party in the trial, assisted by the lawyer Angelo Coppolino. A defense is expected for the next hearing.

The murderer, self-confessed, told investigators that the victim blackmailed him and asked him for money so as not to reveal to his wife that he was expecting a child from him. A version that has never convinced the investigators. On the day of the crime the two had a fight and Borgia murdered the young woman.
