(ANSA) – REGGIO EMILIA, APRIL 09 – He approached, by bicycle or aboard his car, teenage girls under the age of 16 – near primary or middle schools, recreational clubs, parks and cycle paths – and addressed them , explicitly, by offering money in exchange for sexual intercourse.

The protagonist of the affair, a 70-year-old man reported to the Public Prosecutor of Bologna by the carabinieri of Gattatico, in the Reggiano area, on charges of soliciting minors. Physical contacts have not been ascertained – according to what has been learned – although, on some occasions, the man would have tried to caress the young women.

The behavior of the 70-year-old had not failed to raise fear among adolescents and a WhatsApp group of parents had also begun to circulate an alert message for the presence of an elder harassment.

There are at least five cases of solicitation reported to the military – but those that have come to light as a result of the investigations would be different – which have collected clues and verified circumstances after having accepted the appeal of the parents of minors and the testimonies of the inhabitants of the area on the conduct of the senior who would not be new to these behaviors.

The episodes, according to what emerged from the investigation, have taken place since the beginning of the year in various places in a municipality of the Val d’Enza, in particular in front of the primary school and middle schools, clubs and parks and at the cycle path. No real physical contacts have been ascertained, even if on some occasions the man tried to caress the young women object of his attention and in one case, after the refusal, he chased one.
