Health, Sileri’s announcement: “A new decree to revolutionize the national system”

by admin

A real “revolution” of the national health system: this is what the Undersecretary of Health Pierpaolo Sileri announced in the morning, speaking at an electoral initiative organized by the 5Stelle Movement in Amelia, Umbria. A revolution that will affect “not only the territory but also Italian hospitals”. Everything will start, explained Sileri, “from the transition from Ministerial Decree 70/2015 to a new decree on which the ministry is working”. A decree that “will restructure the national hospital network”. “
“For example,” the undersecretary stressed, “the places in intensive care will need to be increased. If the beds of some operating units have been closed, they will have to be repowered, the surgeries will have to be reorganized with well-defined paths that will lead to an increase in the number of beds “. This reorganization will take place in “every region”, with the presence “of a great absentee from the past, assistance on the territory”.

And again: “Among community hospitals, community homes, integrated home assistance and operational centers – explained Sileri – the presence of our national health service will be greater the closer to patients, with the commitment to assist 10% of the over 65 as close as possible to home, if not home. ” To do this, closer monitoring of the Regions will be needed with which, Sileri concluded, “we will redesign the perimeter in a clear way, with clear resources, with appropriate reporting and certain times”.
