Cardiologists surgery performed less than an hour after illness

(ANSA) – TREVISO, APRIL 26 – A fifty-year-old hit by a heart attack while running outdoors was saved yesterday by the doctors of the cardiology department of the Conegliano hospital (Treviso) thanks to an operation performed less than an hour from ‘event. The man, rescued by a passer-by in Vittorio Veneto (Treviso), was transported to the emergency room by helicopter and subsequently subjected to an operation to reopen an occluded artery through the use of a “stent”. The patient is still in a reserved prognosis but, the doctors say, shows “clear signs of improvement”.
