The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Central Meteorological Administration jointly issued a geological disaster meteorological risk warning at 18:00 yesterday (June 21), and areas such as northern Guangxi and northeastern Jiangxi need to guard against geological disasters caused by heavy precipitation.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, from 12:00 on the 20th to 12:00 on the 21st, 113 rivers across the country experienced floods above the warning level, with the maximum exceeding the warning range of 0.01-8.57 meters.

On the 21st, 8 places in Guangdong, including Liannan, Huaiji, Yangshan, and Shaoguan, issued red rainstorm warnings. In the Beijiang River, one of the main streams of the Pearl River system, the upper reaches of the Zhenjiang River have experienced flood peaks due to continuous heavy rainfall. On the 21st, the flood peak passed through the urban area of ​​Shaoguan, and Shaoguan launched a flood control level I emergency response. Affected by the rainfall, the area near Shaoguan East Station passed by the Beijing-Guangzhou ordinary-speed railway train was impassable. Affected by the flood, the polder embankment of Xuhu Lake and the polder of West Lake in Leping City overflowed, and more than 40,000 people have been transferred.

From 8:00 on the 20th to 8:00 on the 21st, heavy rainfall occurred in Jiangyong County, Hunan Province. Water accumulated in many places in the urban area, and some people were trapped.
