Original title: Henan adds parental leave for both spouses 10 days a year
On November 27, the 28th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th Henan Provincial People’s Congress voted and passed the “Decision of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial People’s Congress on Amending the Regulations on Population and Family Planning of Henan Province” (hereinafter referred to as the “Decision” ), which clarifies that before the child reaches the age of three, each spouse shall be given ten days of parental leave each year, and the parental leave shall be regarded as attendance. The “Decision” shall come into effect on the day of its promulgation.
The “Decision” clarifies the three-child birth policy, cancels social support fees, deletes the issuance of the “Only Child Parent Glory Certificate” and other regulations that are not compatible with the three-child policy. Among them, it is clear that a couple (including remarried couples) can have three children; couples who have given birth to three children and have children who have been identified as disabled can have one more child.
