Valerio Verardo had a passion for two wheels but also for dancing and social commitment. In Quero, his adopted country, everyone remembers him as a person with no frills, without excesses, but with a lot of good will and desire to make himself available to others with a note of cheerfulness.
Born in 1971, born in Montebelluna where he had lived until 1996, he lived in Quero in the area of via Spaloa with his partner. The “adoption” in the municipal capital of Quero Vas earned him entry into the civil protection group, within which he had the opportunity to best express his own dimension in volunteering.
«We are really saddened», says the group leader Pietro Cadorin, «because episodes that happen so suddenly can only make you feel this way. He had been part of our civil protection group for over a decade, during which he followed us with passion, from the first to the last day. Hi Valerio ».
There is so much sadness among the volunteers of the Querese civil protection. And even those who met him often during the ecological days, such as the city councilor Alberto Copp, struggle to overcome the emotion to remember his figure. “He was always a busy boy and a master in craftsmanship,” says Coppe. «I often saw him try his hand at the art of masonry and wood. Volunteers who are involved in the world of associations in our country, especially in civil protection, are not forgotten ». In addition to his partner, Verardo also leaves a brother who lives in the Treviso area.
