MILAN – With his taxi he transported his accomplice to drug dealing places, in particular in the wooded areas north of the city and for each ride he received an agreed sum of money. A 33-year-old driver originally from Salerno but residing in the Lombard capital who was acting together with a 39-year-old Iraqi homeless and with precedents of the same type was arrested because he was found in possession of more than half a kilo of heroin in Milan.

The taxi driver acted when he was not on duty. Both ended up in prison last June 15 and then admitted the facts that were challenged as well as other episodes that occurred previously. The 33-year-old, who had a clean record, was eventually released from prison and placed under house arrest. The investigation is coordinated by the prosecutor Nicola Rossato.
