“In this scene, the protagonist confesses to his younger brother his fear that his now deceased wife would betray him,” says in the video Hlynur Pálmason, director of A white, white day. “At some point, after his niece has played the keyboard, his gaze becomes more and more absent.”

The film tells the story of Ingimundur, a police commissioner who decided to take leave after his wife died in an accident. Searching through her personal belongings, he convinces himself that she was having an affair. But when he begins to investigate, his family members end up in danger.

Hlynur Pálmason is an Icelandic filmmaker. He directed Winter brothers (2017).
