Homophobia, Alessandra Mussolini in favor of Dl Zan: “Immediately the law”

by admin

The look is the usual: proud, contemptuous, even hard, stares straight into the eyes of those looking at the photo. Which is also a bit blurry, doesn’t let you think of a set or a photographer. And there is his hand in the foreground, the open palm, only six letters drawn with a marker: “DDL ZAN”.

The most sensational of Alessandra Mussolini’s twists is consumed on Instagram, in front of 32 thousand and passes followers. From “better fascists than fags” addressed on TV to Vladimir Luxuria in 2006, which summarized years of taking a stand against all ties that went beyond traditional family and friendship, to “Immediately the law … No more discrimination !!!! ” of today.

Mussolini, who officially abandoned active politics after having rediscovered herself as a showwoman with the latest “Dancing with the stars”, thus joins the call to action launched by Vanity Fair. The magazine asked to publish a photo on social media with the hashtag #DiamociUnaMano and precisely the writing “DDL ZAN” on the palm, in support of the Zan bill. Many Italian VIPs have joined: from Patti Pravo to Marcelo Burlon, from Marco Carta to the mayor of Milan Beppe Sala. There are Rocco Siffredi, Chiara Ferragni, and there is Vladimir Luxuria, of course. There is also Costantino della Gherardesca, who recalled Mussolini’s release on TV a few months ago at “Dancing Under the Stars” and asked the former Mrs if she still had the same opinion. The answer was rather vague, but the apodictic certainty expressed fifteen years earlier already seemed to waver, especially when an apology arrived to Luxuria and the LBGTQ community.

The Dl was approved in the Chamber in November 2020, and is currently blocked in the Senate after the Lega, Forza Italia and Fratelli d’Italia have defined it as non-priority, thus not allowing the start of the discussion in the Justice Committee. All those in which Mussolini was elected, in her long political career always in the name of the right. With this stance he therefore goes against Forza Italia, the last party in which he played.

The bill against homotransphobia also called “Zan law” from the surname of the speaker Alessandro Zan, provides for prison for those who commit acts of discrimination based on sex, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity or disability . It then establishes a national day against homophobia and arranges the allocation of 4 million euros for the institutions that are committed to fighting this discrimination.

“No more discrimination !!!!”, as Mussolini also exhorts with four exclamation points. Her stance in favor of LGBTQ rights is greeted with a certain skepticism by followers: a couple suggest that her profile has been hacked, others urge her to resume a political career but this time on the left. The more pragmatic, on the other hand, appreciate the fact that such a well-known figure has in any case spent himself in favor of the Zan bill, to prevent the debate from being postponed indefinitely and the law from being put down.
