Former First Lady of Honduras, Ana Garcia, Calls for Prayers for Husband President Juan Orlando Hernández During Trial in New York

TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS – The former first lady of Honduras, Ana Garcia, took to her social media account to ask for prayers for her husband, former President Juan Orlando Hernández, who is currently facing trial in New York. In a heartfelt message on her Twitter account, Garcia requested prayers for her husband as he took the stand to declare the truth about the allegations against him.

“Today my husband Juan Orlando Hernández took the stand to declare the truth about all the lies, conspiracies and traps that his enemies wove. All the Truth Will Come to Light!,” Garcia wrote in her post.

Garcia also asked for prayers from the Honduran people for coverage, protection, and wisdom for Juan Orlando during this challenging time. She shared a verse from the Bible, Isaiah 54:15-17, and expressed her belief in his innocence and strength.

“The Lord our God is with Juan Orlando as a powerful warrior supports him in victory. Wisdom from heaven about his life. Amen,” Garcia concluded her message.

The former first lady’s posts come as former President Hernández is giving his statement before the jury and Judge Kevin Castel in New York. In a second post, Garcia reiterated her husband’s innocence and stated that he had been the only President of Honduras who confronted drug traffickers.
