The party hypothesizes a new consultative referendum on the expansion or construction of a new hospital
AOSTA. “If the political will were to remain perched on the decision taken by a majority by the Regional Council, we believe it appropriate to reopen the debate with the entire population of the Aosta Valley and ultimately support a consultative referendum”. This was stated in a note Valle d’Aosta Futura about the decision taken in the Regional Council to continue with the expansion of the Parini hospital.
According to the party, Valle d’Aosta must organize a new model of health care to improve the quality of care for patients, avoid inappropriate services and hospitalizations by developing care in the area and at home and thus reducing the need for hospital beds.
«Does the current renovation project of the Parini hospital – continues VdA Futura – respond to this vision? We are not at all convinced and we believe that serious and urgent investigations need to be made ».
