Hurricane Nora has reached Mexico, with winds of 130 km per hour

The fear returns a week after Grace’s passage

(ANSA) – MEXICO CITY, AUGUST 28 – A week after the passage of Grace, hurricane Nora hit Mexico last night, touching land in the state of Jalisco, on the Pacific coast. This was reported by the American National Hurricane Center (NHC).

Hurricane Category 1 (on a scale of up to 5) “remains close to the coast of Mexico after reaching the ground in northwestern Jalisco,” the NHC points out in its latest update. Nora arrived “near Vicente Guerrero and continued to move near the coast”, with winds of 130 km per hour.

A week ago Mexico was hit by Hurricane Grace, category 3: its passage killed eleven people in the states of Veracruz and Puebla. (HANDLE).
