Contrary to what was announced today, they are 47.6%
(ANSA) – REYKYAVIK, SEPTEMBER 26 – Iceland is not the first European country with a majority of deputies in Parliament, after having believed it for the whole day. After a recount of yesterday’s election votes in one of the island’s six constituencies, three women lost the seat they thought they had won. The women elected are no longer 33 out of 63 parliamentarians but 30, equal to 47.6% and therefore below the 50% threshold.
