Rock-hard pursuit of the carabinieri in the night. The boys, Moldovans, were framed by the stolen car

MOGLIANO. Without a license to drive a stolen car, the carabinieri rammed. The soldiers of the Mogliano station denounced two very young citizens of Moldovan origin residing in the Treviso area, a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old, both of whom were cleansed, in a state of freedom for the crimes of resistance to public officials and damage.

The episode at three in the morning on July 18th. A crew of the carabinieri station on patrol duty traveling along via Roma noticed a car, a Renault “Clio” with two young men on board in a suspicious attitude and decided to proceed to check the occupants by activating the flashing devices.

The Renault driver, instead of slowing down and stopping, suddenly accelerated the pace, giving the gas and carrying out maneuvers at high speed, also proceeding against the flow and creating a serious danger for road traffic.

The patrol set off in pursuit, but the two young men managed to make their tracks momentarily lost. A little later, the military intercepted the fugitives again in Piazza Sant’Antonio, they anticipated them in via Girardini once again ordering the “halt” when the suspicious car arrived: the crew chief got out of the vehicle to proceed with the identification of the two boys, but the Renault driver, once again, rebelled: he first put into reverse, then engaged the forward gear, hitting the gazelle on the front with his right side, fortunately without physical consequences for the carabinieri.

In the last few hours, the turning point in the investigations that led to the tracing of those responsible for the night raid, when it was ascertained that the car, registered to a third person unrelated to the facts, had been brought for repair in early July in a workshop where he worked one of the two young Moldovans who therefore had the availability. The young man was recognized by the military.

From further checks it seems that the 20-year-old foreigner driving the car did not have a license and had therefore decided, for that reason, to escape control.
