TREVISO. Nine hundred over eighty-year-olds from the province of Treviso have said no to the Covid vaccine. Their refusal was put in black and white by filling in a denial form that the mayors of the Marca are distributing among the fellow citizens of their municipalities, to then return it to Ulss 2 which will have to indicate to the Ministry of Health how much waste there was among the over 80: the first population target to be immunized against the virus.
“We have 916 over eighty who have declared themselves reluctant to vaccinate,” confirms the director general of Ulss 2 Francesco Benazzi. About twenty municipalities are still missing, after which the picture will be complete. “We have come to vaccinate between 96% and 97% of over 80s, we are now at the last stages, we still keep a 230-seat slot open for any latecomers and for those who have a Covid contract less than three months ago and now they have to wait to receive the inoculation, ”adds the manager.
In the meantime, we continue with the inoculations for the over 70s. “By May 10th we plan to complete this age group, then we will start with the over 60s. By doing this we will have secured a good part of the most exposed population” adds the manager Benazzi.
The health company renews the appeal to book, on the Ulss 2 website there are still many free places for categories over 70, severely disabled with law 104 and over eighty.
