In Sicily, two doctors positive for Covid after the double dose of the Pfizer vaccine

by admin

It happened in Partinico and Ragusa. Infected doctors have so far returned to the ward after being negativized, but there is a risk of outbreaks

PALERMO Two doctors positive for Covid in Sicily even after the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. It happened in Partinico, in the Palermo area, and in Ragusa.

It is a doctor of the Covid hospital in Partinico who, despite being asymptomatic, was placed in isolation because it is still positive after three swabs. A problem because it could infect patients. For this reason, even the vaccinated doctors undergo continuous checks to avoid that they themselves may be carriers of the virus causing internal outbreaks in the ward like the one that occurred in the past weeks in the orthopedics department of the Cefalù hospital. For positive doctors no problem, after a period of isolation and negativization they are back in the ward.

The second case concerns a doctor who discovered he was positive for Covid after a patient admitted to his ward at the Giovanni Paolo II Hospital in Ragusa tested positive and forced all staff to undergo a swab check. He too had already had the two doses inoculated, like all health personnel, in January he tested positive even if asymptomatic. He is now in solitary confinement.
