The Region has been entrusted with the technical-economic feasibility project to recover the former gym in Via Bich which has not been used for years

In the future, the Institut Agricole Régional of Aosta will expand and transfer part of its activities a few tens of meters from its current headquarters. In fact, the programs of the regional administration include the transfer of the school to the former gymnasium of La Rochère, in via Bich, on the other side of via Parigi from the historical site.

The regional department for public works has already entrusted the technical and economic feasibility project to a temporary group of professionals from Turin (Settanta7 associated studio, Sitec Engineering Srl, geol. Dario Mori are part of it).

The new headquarters of the Institut Agricole Régional will have four floors available to redistribute all the teaching part: flexible classrooms, modern laboratories, multifunctional spaces, areas for group or individual teaching, offices and a lecture hall. The project will make it possible to obtain a modern and functional building, with a contemporary style, built with sustainable materials and equipped with renewable energy sources in the place of a former gym that is now unusable, out of standard and too expensive to renovate. Furthermore, the transfer will allow the extension of the part of the boarding school which will remain where it has always been.

The “old” headquarters of the IAR will be connected to the new one built in the former gymnasium through a pedestrian underpass that already exists.
