[Epoch Times December 04, 2021](Reported by Epoch Times reporter Li Yun) The World Health Organization announced on December 3 that the Omicron variant virus has spread to 38 countries. According to Lu Media, a man surnamed Hao in Jiangsu was infected with the Omicron variant virus. He said that he felt very thirsty, his lungs felt like fire, and he continued to have a low-grade fever.

According to a report by JiMu News on December 3, a man surnamed Hao from Nantong, Jiangsu, was dispatched by the company to Johannesburg, South Africa in April. He was originally scheduled to stay in South Africa for the first half of the year.

The man surnamed Hao claimed that he was infected with the new crown virus (CCV) in June and followed the instructions of the local doctor to conduct home isolation and medication, and his body slowly recovered. However, at the end of November, he was found to have symptoms of discomfort. After going to the hospital for a nucleic acid test, he was found to be infected with the Omicron variant virus.

He said that he had symptoms such as dry cough, low-grade fever, and fire in the lungs. “I feel very thirsty, and my lungs feel very dry. I can drink three liters of water in two hours and I feel thirsty.”

The man surnamed Hao revealed that he currently stays alone in an apartment and does not live with anyone else. The doctor has prescribed medicine for him, and he hopes to heal quickly after isolation and return home to reunite with his family as soon as possible.

After the Omicron variant virus was first discovered in South Africa in November, the World Health Organization issued a written statement at the time that the new variant has a higher infection rate than the previous variant. Almost all states in South Africa have seen cases of new variants. This variant has a large number of mutations, some of which are worrying.

South African officials reported on December 3 that cases of infection with the Omicron variant virus have surged. In the past 24 hours, there have been 16,055 new cases in South Africa, with a total of 3 million, 4203 confirmed cases.

On the same day, WHO stated that the Omicron variant virus has spread to 38 countries, but has not yet received notification of death cases. The WHO urges countries not to panic, but to prepare for the possible spread of Omicron.
