According to news from the Hainan Procuratorial WeChat account on October 8, the People’s Procuratorate of the Suburbs of Sanya City, Hainan Province, in performing its public interest litigation procuratorial duties, found that the netizen “Luo Mouping” posted on Sina Weibo on October 6, 2021 the “Ice Sculpture Company” on Sina Weibo that insulted the Anti-U.S. Aid Korea “The illegal remarks of the heroic martyrs violated the reputation and honor of the heroic martyrs of the Volunteer Army to resist the United States and Aid Korea, hurt the people’s special national sentiment against the heroic martyrs of the US-aided Korean Volunteer Army, and seriously harmed the public interest.
According to relevant regulations such as the “Law on the Protection of Heroes and Martyrs of the People’s Republic of China”, “Civil Procedure Law of the People’s Republic of China”, and “People’s Procuratorate Rules for Handling Public Interest Litigation Cases”,The Suburban People’s Procuratorate of Sanya City, Hainan Province, on October 8, 2021, decided to file a civil public interest lawsuit against Luo Mouping for infringing on the reputation and honor of heroes and martyrs and initiate investigations。
Same day,Hainan Police Weibo also released news that on October 7, 2021, public security organs received reports from the masses that netizen “Luo Mouping” posted illegal remarks on Sina Weibo that insulted the heroes of the Anti-U.S. and Aid Korean Volunteers, which caused a bad influence. The Jiyang Branch of the Sanya Public Security Bureau summoned Luo Mouping (male, from Changsha, Hunan, 40 years old, Sina Weibo name “Luo Mouping”) according to law on the same day and launched an investigation.
After censorship, Luo Mouping confessed to his illegal act of insulting the heroic volunteers to resist the US and Aid Korea through Weibo. Currently,The Jiyang Branch of the Sanya Public Security Bureau has criminally detained Luo Mouping on suspicion of “infringing on the reputation and honour of heroes and martyrs.” The case is being further processed.。
