Installation work has begun on two sections of guardrail in Viconovo and Albarea

MOBILITY – Deputy Mayor Lodi: “More safety on the streets of the hamlets”

Work began today, Thursday 7 March 2024, on the installation of a section of guardrail in Viconovo, between via Bertolda and via Massafiscaglia, for approximately 100 linear metres.

The works will affect the stretch throughout today, while tomorrow the workers will move to the hamlet of Albarea – still in via Massafiscaglia, near the Church – for approximately 45 linear metres. The executing company is Tecnica SRL.

The guardrails in question are made of corten steel, consisting of a protective patina that is created on the surface and gives it the “rust brown” color. The surface patina protects the steel over time, thus giving it high resistance to corrosion from atmospheric agents.

“We continue with the interventions to improve the Forese territory – explains the deputy mayor with responsibility for the hamlets Nicola Lodi –. The installations of the two guardrails were, in fact, interventions that were deeply felt by citizens, who will now be able to travel along the sections of the affected road in total safety, remembering to always respect the speed limits. These are important days for the hamlets. In Baura we are finishing work on the pavement between via Pontegradella and via Raffanello, which has been damaged for some time and, in the next few days, many other construction sites will begin”.
