The Attorney General’s Office investigates irregularities in the purchase of tank trucks by UNGRD.

The Attorney General’s Office announced the opening of a disciplinary investigation against the director of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD), Olmedo López Martínez, for alleged irregularities in the acquisition of 40 cartanks intended for water supply in La Guajira.

The investigation focuses on determining possible irregularities in the pre-contractual and contract execution stages. It is suspected that the contracting modality chosen, as well as the selection of the contractor, could have been directed. Furthermore, the capacity and suitability of the company in charge of supplying the vehicles is questioned, as well as the possibility of financial detriment in the process.
