A woman from Turin was rescued by a helicopter and taken to the San Martino hospital
SAN VITO. It falls for 50 meters into a channel on the Giau pass. A 67-year-old woman from Turin slipped, ending up in a gully, while she was hiking on the path between Giau pass and Col Piombin fork. She was alone and, at that moment, there was no one around. Despite the polytrauma, she managed to sound the alarm, calling her husband. The man alerted 118, which arrived with the Trento helicopter, as the Belluno Falco was already engaged in another mission. The wound was treated on the spot, before boarding and transport to the San Martino di Belluno hospital.
