Off June 5th to be repeated every first Saturday of the month
IVREA. Ivrea focuses on local tourism starting with two itineraries to introduce visitors but also citizens themselves to the rich historical, cultural and industrial heritage. The company Theatrum Sabaudiae, operator registered in the Incoming Register of the ATL, will manage the guided tours in the city that will begin on June 5 and will be repeated every first Saturday of the month. There are two proposals: “Welcome Tour Ivrea” and “Welcome Tour Ivrea Industrial City – Unesco” which include a pedestrian path through the most important streets of the historic center and the Unesco site, allowing you to visit the main monuments and modern buildings of the industrial city.
«It is with satisfaction that the municipal administration, with the help of Turismo Torino e Provincia, announces the departure of the guided tour service – explains Costanza Casali, councilor for tourism, culture, commerce and participated entities -. Two itineraries have been identified that include the most significant stages of the tourist offer of our city, which has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tourist market has changed dramatically and local tourism represents the future. For this reason, we worked to give a concrete answer to visitors and make sure that they can be enraptured by the beauty of our territory, discovering a unique cultural baggage ». «The objective – concludes the councilor Casali – is precisely that of the tourist revitalization of the city and, to this end, other ambitious projects are also being worked on. We must be able to seize the great opportunity that, despite everything, is offered to us by this emergency period, namely the strengthening and enhancement of the beauties and peculiarities of our city and our territory ».
The first itinerary “Welcome Tour Ivrea” starts at 10.30 while “Welcome Tour Ivrea Industrial City – Unesco” at 15.00. Both have a duration of two hours and a cost of 14 euros per person (reduced to 11 for over 65s, students under 25, Museum Subscription, Turin + Piedmont Card). For those wishing to participate in both tours, the cost is 23 euros (reduced to 20 for over 65s, students under 25; Museum subscription, Torino + Piemonte Card). Free for under 10.
