IVREA. It caught fire in the middle of the Lidl parking lot around 6.45pm. Resulting in a column of thick black smoke, which has been spotted throughout the city.

The Fiat Panda driven by a 58-year-old resident of Montalto Dora caught fire and frightened many people who had gone shopping.

On the spot, however, an off-duty Marshal of the Ivrea Finance Police managed to get people away.

The timely intervention of the firefighters, the municipal police, the carabinieri and the state police prevented the worst, namely that the car exploded.

The 58-year-old saw the smoke stopped the car and was able to get out in a flash. The flames engulfed the vehicle, now completely destroyed, without hurting anyone.
