Ivrea, drunk driving, knocks down eight bollards and a light pole

by admin

The man was reported

IVREA. In via Jervis, in the late evening of Thursday 19 August, a car carrying a 40-year-old first hit a road sign on the right side of the carriageway, then swerving it invaded the opposite lane in front of the red brick factory, swooping into the sidewalk, knocking down 8 Maam bollards (open-air museum of Olivetti architecture) and a light pole.

The man was denounced by the officers of the police station, who intervened to detect the incident. The 40-year-old, who was unharmed after the collision, was clearly in a state of drunkenness and refused checks. Fortunately, at the time of the accident, no one was passing through that stretch of road. A company took care of putting everything back in safety and changing the light pole, which fell to the ground with the relative lamp post.
