«We are evaluating the issue of a fourth tranche of shopping vouchers, financed with municipal resources. A measure of concrete help to families and which also has a benefit on trade. As for traders and artisans, the Municipality has decided to be close to those categories most affected by the closures. We are also thinking of a contribution, which takes the form of State aid, which will be able to partially or totally compensate the amount due for Tari 2020, where various businesses have had to close for short or long periods. The maneuver, currently being finalized, should be around 200 thousand euros. A figure that is added to the 332 thousand already allocated in 2020 and which involved families and economic activities with reductions in the bill ».

It is therefore not possible to renounce the collection of receivables already entered in the budget in previous years and on which substantial expenses are based ».

How much are the credits that the Municipality has?

Over the years, the Municipality has accumulated a sum equal to 10,869,136.32 euros in credits that block the budget, generating a “bad debt provision” equal to 7,701,524.98 euros. The administration’s intention is to carry out a tax control action with the utmost and widest availability towards the taxpayer, pursuing an ideal of fairness, helping those who are in difficulty today and, at the same time, also lightening the budget from “Weights” that weigh and plaster the administrative action and in fact damage the entire community ».

“Previously, with a view to achieving an increasingly collaborative relationship based on mutual fairness, the administration had introduced some favorable measures such as raising to 36 installments (with the possibility of further extensions), regardless of the ISEE for all those who intended to collaborate by planning a debt repayment plan and by adopting the institution of compensation. Installments that can also be requested by those who will receive tax injunctions in these days. In addition, those who are experiencing economic difficulties related to the pandemic can take advantage of the suspension of payments for the whole of 2021 “.

Who will be granted this possibility?
