Pronto Alzheimer the line that listens to you was born, an initiative proposed by the Alzheimer La piazzetta association, created thanks to the contribution of the Community Foundation of Canavese. Pronto Alzheimer is active every Thursday, from 9 to 10: just dial the number 3714774396. “It is – explains the president of the association, Manuela Bolognesi – a telephone counter for family members, caregivers, friends and anyone involved in the care of a person with dementia, aimed at offering free support to share daily problems, receive practical advice and tips, as well as to facilitate assistance. The primary objective is to offer relief through professional advice that can provide not only a listening space to overcome the isolation that the current emergency has caused, but also tools and strategies that can be used concretely “.

In addition to providing information on the disease, the desk offers, in fact: psychological support for psycho-emotional difficulties in the management and care of one’s family member; practical advice to follow the patient and cope with behavioral disorders thanks to adequate strategies; information on available territorial resources.

Francesca Grossi, psychotherapist psychologist, with systemic relational training and experience in the management of people with cognitive impairment and their families will answer the phone. “We await with all our availability those who want to use this service – concludes Bolognesi – to be able to give a minimum of relief, through our initiatives, to all those families who feel alone in this complicated health period”.
