«On the beginning of the works I would avoid unbalancing myself knowing the times of the public administration – says the commissioner for public works Michele Cafarelli -. Certainly, now we are entering the preparatory phase for the assignment ».
The XXV Aprile viaduct dates back to 1972, it was the subject of major interventions only in the aftermath of the floods of the 1990s, when the force of the Dora threatened to undermine some central pylons.
The access ramp at the height of the cemetery, on the other hand, was the subject of urgent intervention at the end of 2018 for the reconstruction of the expansion joints which, now rotten and protruding, risked cutting the tires of the vehicles.
