The Police managed to capture in flagrante delicto a 20-year-old man, a native of the city of Bogotá, and the arrest of a 17-year-old adolescent, for the crime of simple kidnapping.

The police action took place in the El Tigre neighborhood of the municipality of Puerto López, after the police authorities responded to a citizen call about a possible case of kidnapping.

“At the time of responding to the complaint, those affected reported the entry of several people who claimed to be members of the Popular Anti-Subversive Revolutionary Army of Colombia – ERPAC, who, using firearms, intimidated the managers of a farm with the aim of stealing 90 heads of cattle,” said Colonel Jeison Freddy Sora, commander of the Meta Police.

Police officers quickly deployed the ‘Candado Plan’, linking the Army, with whom they arrived at the scene, finding that twelve people were leaving the farm; Thanks to the victims’ reports, the capture and apprehension of those responsible who participated in the retention of the workers and managers of the property materialized.

After the capture, they were transferred to the facilities of the Puerto López Sectional Prosecutor’s Office No. 34, where the adult subject must respond to the crime of simple kidnapping, while the apprehended adolescent was left at the disposal of the Child and Adolescent Prosecutor’s Office for the restoration of their rights.
