Jiujiang Holds 2021 “June 26” International Anti-Drug Day Theme Promotion Event

On the morning of June 25, Jiujiang City’s 2021 “June 26” International Anti-drug Day theme publicity event was held in the Economic Development Zone Liansheng Happy City. The event was organized by the Municipal Narcotics Control Commission and the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and undertaken by the Municipal Education Bureau, the Municipal Women’s Federation, the Economic Development Zone Narcotics Control Commission, and the Municipal Narcotics Control Volunteers Association. The awards of “Pioneer of Anti-drugs” and speeches by student representatives will further enhance the anti-drug awareness of the general public and create an anti-drug atmosphere for the whole people.
The event was hosted by Zhang Rongxian, Deputy Mayor, Director of the Municipal Narcotics Control Commission, and Director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau. Relevant leaders of the Party Working Committee of the Development Zone attended the event.
Secretary Yang Jian delivered a speech for the event. He pointed out that the theme of this year’s International Anti-drug Day publicity activities is “Preventing the Hazards of New Drugs to Young People”. Helping the public, especially young people, build ideological defenses against drugs has become an important mission and statutory duty that cannot be delayed before us.
He emphasized that he hopes that the majority of young people will always keep in mind the serious disasters that drugs have brought to the Chinese nation, understand the harm of drugs in depth, cherish their youth, and consciously develop healthy and upward living habits. At the same time, it is also hoped that all sectors of society will care about and participate in the anti-drug struggle, jointly carry out anti-drug publicity activities, and create a drug-free, healthy, safe and harmonious living environment.
