According to what is learned, the Council of Ministers voted unanimously to authorize the request for confidence in the reform of the criminal trial. Prime Minister Mario Draghi asked for authorization directly.

“I asked for authorization to put trust in Parliament when it came to the discussion in the classroom – explained Prime Minister Draghi at the press conference, at the end of the Council of Ministers – There is a text approved unanimously in the Council of Ministers and this is the starting point. We are open to technical improvements. If there were any technical improvements – and we are very open to this, Minister Cartabia is very helpful – the text will return to the Council of Ministers. On the part of the government there is the utmost willingness to hear from everyone ”.

The issue addressed by the justice reform is “difficult but unavoidable, the problem of the length of trials is serious in Italy”, added the Minister of Justice Marta Cartabia in the press conference.
