Prince Harry was only able to spend half an hour with his father, King Charles, after his cancer diagnosis was made public. But there was a good reason for that, says a British royalty expert in The Sun.

After it became known that the 75-year-old British monarch has cancer, his son Harry came to the United Kingdom from California last week. Remarkably, he was only allowed to spend half an hour with his father at Clarence House.

The reason for this, according to writer and royalty expert Robert Jobson, was that difficult topics might have arisen during a longer meeting. And that would not have been good for the king’s recovery, according to Jobson. “You don’t want his blood pressure to rise,” he says in The Sun. “The king is not doing well and is being treated for whatever form of cancer it is.”

The monarch will soon move to his enclosure at Wood Farm. “Because rest is really what he needs,” said Jobson. “Because with Harry there would have been the greeting first, then he would have said that he likes him and that he hopes things get better soon, but what topics will then be discussed? Things that raise your blood pressure.”
