The column of smoke could already be seen from several kilometers away: in the early Wednesday afternoon, a fire broke out in a carpentry shop in the town of Aumühle, which belongs to Fraham. At around 1:15 p.m., the first alert was received under the keyword “Fire, trade, industry”, and other fire services soon followed.
There was a massive smoke development, alert level two was declared. A total of eleven fire brigades from the area were deployed to extinguish the fire, which had started in the paint shop area. An external attack was launched using a turntable ladder and a telescopic mast platform.

The emergency services quickly managed to bring the flames under control, the Alkoven volunteer fire brigade reported in an initial report. In the meantime, the first helpers have moved in again, but according to the state fire brigade command, the operation is still ongoing.
