BELLUNO. The Cadore center joins for enhance and promote the territory. This is, moreover, the spirit of Fondo Letta, created to help the territories bordering the regions with special status with resources destined to finance infrastructural interventions and services.
And this is the spirit that animates the administrations of Pieve, Calalzo, Domegge, Lorenzago and Lozzo, who for some time have been thinking about a district project that makes use of the resources of the Letta Fund to develop the territories from a tourist point of view. And that could become reality.
The Ministry for Regional Affairs has in fact published the call for the Fund for 2021 projects. This was reported by the deputy Roger De Menech, recalling that the ministry has defined the sums destined for each of the two macro-areas, Valle d’Aosta and Friuli-Venezia Giulia , the maximum admissible funding limit for each municipality, the methods of submitting requests for funding, the conditions and methods of disbursement of the Fund, and the multi-annual nature of the funding.
For 2021, the availability of the Fund is € 22,559,926, 57.5 per cent is destined for the municipalities bordering Friuli Venezia Giulia: they are almost there 13 million for twenty-seven municipalities distributed between the Belluno, Treviso and Venetian areas. Everyone can submit a project that will be financed with a maximum of 463,284 euros, the Municipality of Longarone, following the merger with Castellavazzo, has a higher limit, equal to 926,568 euros.
INTERVENTIONS THAT CAN BE FINANCED
The beneficiary municipalities can apply for funding also for the second lot of an intervention whose first excerpt has been admitted to financing valid for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 years of the Fund. Infrastructural interventions on the enhancement and protection of the environmente; rbuilding inquiries and reconstructions (of public buildings); energy saving and use of energy; improvement of municipal and inter-municipal traffic; creation of cycle paths, paths and playgrounds.
On the service front, they can be presented projects in the social-health sector, social assistance, education, transport, waste collection, the spread of computerization, telecommunications, the promotion of tourism, the primary sector, traditional craft activities and the trade of basic necessities.
THE CADOR LOOKS FORWARD
The future is built with large area projects. The mayors of theCentro Cadore Mountain Union, who had long ago decided to allocate a share of the Letta Fund destined for a wide-ranging project: the cycle path around the lake.
A tourist route intended for hikers and cyclists, to promote the territory. The cost is around between six and ten million euros, because there are some infrastructures to be built: “We have a feasibility study”, explains the president of the Um, Pierluigi Svaluto Ferro. “In the coming weeks we will have to meet between mayors to see if Vigo is also in the game.”
The work, continues Svaluto Ferro, “is very much felt by the population, it would become an exceptional tourist flywheel”.
Sure, then it will be necessary to make sure that the lake is such, and not a casket of mud as it happens these days, points out Svaluto. Which in recent years has made use of the resources destined for the border municipalities, for example by creating the Adventure Park in Caralte.
“We started working together and I am very happy that these resources arrive”, adds the mayor of Pieve, Giuseppe Casagrande. “I’ll be even more so when we manage to spend it on uwork that will benefit everyone. Only by working together will we be able to give a future to our territories, and to our province ».
LONGARONE
It will arrive in Longarone almost one million euros, which Mayor Padrin plans to invest to fix piazza 9 Ottobre: “Over the years that space has had multiple problems, such as water infiltrations that have damaged the flooring,” he explains. “It must be redoneto. We are thinking of a complete restyling of the square, to be completed by spring 2023, in time for the 60th anniversary of the Vajont ».
But Longarone also has a million and a half to spend in 2020: “With this money we will redevelopl former post office building, which was transferred to us on the basis of state-owned federalism, ”concludes Padrin. There is talk of building public toilets, expanding the parking lot for buses and building a lift to connect with the church square.
