‘Prevent terrorism from returning to France’

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 25 – About twenty French deputies wrote a letter to President Emmanuel Macron inviting him to provide “weapons” and “ammunition” to the anti-Taliban resistance led by Ahmad Massoud, to prevent the Koranic students in power “they can strengthen” and that Afghanistan returns to being a terrorist base that could even hit France. This was revealed by Le Figaro who viewed the letter.

“In the face of this threat, France has the duty to act and fight without waiting against the Taliban with the same force it uses against Isis, if we do not want to see a terrorist arc that extends from Pakistan to the Sahel”, reads in the letter, wanted by the center-right deputy, Eric Ciotti and also signed by senators and some members of the left. The petitioners insist on the danger that terrorists could “hit French citizens in France”.

“The request” of the young Massoud and former Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who are resisting in the Panshir Valley, “for weapons, ammunition and logistical support must be heard by France”, concludes the letter. (HANDLE).
