Pay attention to documents and obligations related to road traffic: on Wednesday 29 June the last of the extensions that had been granted for the Covid emergency also expires. It will therefore be necessary to return to being in good standing with licenses, inspections, etc. according to the ordinary deadlines. The deadline of 29 June is especially important for medical examinations for the renewal of licenses, Cqc (the qualification cards necessary for professional drivers of heavy vehicles) and Cfp (professional training certificates) for the transport of dangerous goods. By this date, all those expired during the long period in which the state of emergency was in force (31 January 2020 – 31 March 2022) must be renewed, as provided for by article 103, paragraphs 2 and 2-sexies of Legislative Decree 18 / 2020 (il Cura Italia) .Attention: this extension did not apply to those who drive with a non-Italian license or Cqc, because in this case the postponements envisaged for the Covid emergency by the EU, all already expired, counted.
Medical visits
Anyone who has to go through the local medical commission (for example, the disabled) and had the usual provisional permit issued due to the long waiting lists must undergo the examination by 29 June. The same applies to holders of truck or bus licenses (categories CE, D1E, D and DE) who during the state of emergency exceeded 65 and 60 years respectively, reaching the age for which one can continue to drive heavy vehicles only after checking by the Commission. The end-of-course certificates of initial or periodic qualification for the Cqc and those for the achievement and renewal of the Cfp also expire on 29 June.
Pink sheets
Similar rules for the extension of the deadlines of the pink sheets: those between January 31, 2020 and March 31, end on June 29. As for overhauls and checks on vehicles or parts thereof, all extensions have already expired, except for those for technical approval of refrigerated vehicles (Atp), replacement or requalification of methane cylinders (CNG) and periodic leakage and efficiency tests of the cisterns: the deadlines included in the period of the state of emergency are also postponed to 29 June. Ditto for the authorizations for exceptional transport, for test circulation and for carrying out technical escorts.
