The upstream news reporter learned from the conference that on June 20, Daqing Oilfield relied on independent innovation to discover and predict geological reserves of 1.268 billion tons. It is reported that Daqing Oilfield regards Gulong shale oil as an important strategic area. In 2021, 100 wells will be implemented and 58 wells have been drilled. The 14th Five-Year Plan will add 1 billion tons of proven oil reserves. The output reaches more than 1 million tons.

The reporter learned that Daqing Oilfield is the largest oilfield in China and one of the few super-large continental sandstone oilfields in the world. After more than half a century of high-speed and high-efficiency exploration and development, Daqing Oilfield has a high degree of proven conventional reserves and highly dispersed remaining oil. Daqing Oilfield is facing serious challenges of imbalance in oilfield storage and production and difficulty in stabilizing production.

Zhu Guowen, Vice President of China National Petroleum Corporation and Secretary of the Party Committee of Daqing Oilfield, introduced that my country’s shale oil is mainly continental shale oil, which is divided into interbedded, mixed and shale based on reservoir characteristics. Gulong shale oil is the third category and the most difficult to develop. There is no successful precedent at home and abroad before this.

According to reports, the Daqing Oilfield scientific research personnel have innovated and formed in-situ accumulation theoretical understanding based on the endowment conditions and reservoir characteristics of Gulong shale oil, and enriched the development of petroleum geology theories. It is these breakthrough insights that have made the leap from “generating” oil from continental shale to “producing” oil from continental shale, and from classical petroleum geology migration and accumulation to in-situ accumulation of high-organic shale. .
At present, the key exploration wells such as Guye Youping 1, Yingye 1H, and Guye 2HC deployed in the Daqing Oilfield have produced more than 30 cubic meters of oil per day and stable test production. Among them, the Guye Youping 1 well has seen oil production for more than 500 days. More than 6,000 tons of crude oil were produced, with a cumulative production of nearly 10,000 tons of oil and gas equivalent, achieving a major strategic breakthrough in continental shale oil in the Songliao Basin. In addition, 43 vertical wells have produced oil on the plane, and 5 horizontal wells have achieved high yields. In 2021, the oil-bearing area will be 1,413 square kilometers, and the newly-increased oil reserves will be 1.268 billion tons.

Upstream news reporters learned from the press conference that Gulong shale oil resources are huge, and Daqing Oilfield regards Gulong shale oil as an important strategic area and is making every effort to accelerate various tasks. 100 wells are planned to be implemented in 2021. As of now, 58 wells have been drilled; of which 27 wells have been tested, 25 wells have seen oil and 17 wells have received industrial oil flow. The 14th Five-Year Plan will add 1 billion tons of proven oil reserves, and annual output of shale oil will reach more than 1 million tons.
