The concentrated outbreak of the epidemic in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia, has put a lot of pressure on local epidemic prevention and control. What is the current status of the treatment of confirmed patients? How to carry out the next prevention and control work? Do patients diagnosed in this round of epidemic need to be transported for treatment? In response to these issues, a reporter from the headquarters recently interviewed Xu Hongzhi, director of the Inner Mongolia Health Commission.↓↓↓

Xu Hongzhi introduced that the current round of Manzhouli epidemic is a new variant of Delta virus, which has low homology with previous domestic epidemics, and is spread by a new overseas source. From the current point of view, the virus has the characteristics of rapid spread and wide range of infection, which has brought great difficulties to the prevention and control of the epidemic.

Finding the source of infection as soon as possible, effectively blocking the route of transmission, and protecting susceptible populations are the three important principles of epidemic prevention and control. Around these three aspects, Manzhouli implemented a series of targeted measures such as full-staff nucleic acid testing, centralized management of key populations, and comprehensive implementation of sealing control, management and control management. In addition, in order to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has coordinated multiple forces to ensure that professional forces such as medical treatment, nucleic acid testing, and flow adjustment are in place in a timely manner. Currently, various epidemic prevention and control work is being carried out in an orderly manner.

Xu Hongzhi, Director of the Health Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region: We have recruited more than 100 laboratory testers and more than 700 samplers from various leagues and cities in the autonomous region. At present, we are fully capable of meeting 200,000 people to conduct a round of testing every day.

The designated port hospital established during the epidemic last year has 400 beds, plus the advanced medical equipment previously supported by various regions and the relatively rich local experience in epidemic prevention and control. In the round of the epidemic, no centralized transfer of confirmed patients will be taken for treatment.

Xu Hongzhi, Director of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Health Committee:We have improved the designated medical institutions. At the same time, the cured patients still have time to recover after being discharged from the hospital. We bring together the most well-known experts in the country and the best experts in the autonomous region to provide effective treatment to these patients.
