For its first official public release, the Maserati MC20 Spider allowed itself a sky-colored livery, complete with clouds: this is how the prototype of the car came out of the gates of the historic Modena plant. A film that serves to conceal, but not too much, the definitive forms of the car.
Under the hood there will be “Neptune”, the name of the 3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that pulses under the hood and already seen on the closed version of the MC20: it delivers 630 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, grounded by the rear wheels traction, through an automatic double clutch gearbox.
With the coupé, the Spider shares the body, made entirely of carbon fiber and composite materials, identical for all body variants planned, including the 100% electric version, which should arrive over the next two years.
