There is no aggravating circumstance of premeditation, at least for the moment, in the charge made by the Ivrea prosecutor against the Rivarolo killer Renzo Tarabella, currently hospitalized in intensive care at San Giovanni Bosco. He is accused of aggravated multiple murder, for killing his son Wilson, his wife Maria Grazia Valovatto and the spouses and owners of the house Osvaldo Dighera and Liliana Heidempergher. Tomorrow, Tuesday 13 April, there will be the validation hearing in front of the investigating judge Ombretta Vanini.
Investigations to clarify the motive for the murder continue. Through the telephone records of Renzo Tarabella and Osvaldo Dighera a piece of this mystery will be clarified. Particularly if the 83-year-old retiree, after killing his wife and child, wanted to somehow lure the homeowner into his apartment. An aspect that will be essential to clarify, to understand if even the murders of the neighbors were premeditated. Track that the prosecutor does not exclude, but which is not among the most popular at the moment.
On Saturday night the chief prosecutor Giuseppe Ferrando and the prosecutor Lea Lamonaca arrived at the scene of the crime shortly after three. In front of them they found a chilling crime scene, with two deaths in two beds and two on the ground, one on top of the other. “It is very strange that no one in the condominium has heard the shots,” explained Ferrando.
Then there is the mystery of those tickets left by the murderer, still in intensive care, to be resolved: a few words, probably written after killing the four. To establish the times of deaths and therefore the exact sequence, the coroner Roberto Testi of Turin will think with the autopsies.
However, it seems that Tarabella first killed his wife and child, then brought the Dighera couple into the house and killed them one at a time, at different times. For some time now Tarabella had been living in a segregated house with his wife and disabled child. The only contact with the outside world was the Dighera family, who became grandparents almost three years ago, towards whom Tarabella may have developed a kind of jealousy.
