According to ornithologist Tarvo Valker, the eaglet, which turned five weeks old today and has grown quite noisy, should soon start doing flight exercises.
“After Midsummer,” said Valker. No flight right away. For the time being, they occasionally jump higher on the edge of the nest and flap their wings. Sometimes eaglets are also thrown from the edge of the nest, but according to Valker, nothing bad happens from this – the parents continue to take care of the young that is eating under the tree.
