MODENA – Tragedy in Modena. A 4-year-old girl died this morning after falling from the seventh floor of a building in Via Cardarelli where she lived with her mother and siblings. It happened in via Cardarelli, close to via Giardini, one of the main arteries of the Emilian city. She was the woman who noticed what had happened, running down and asking the neighbors to call for help. On the spot the 118 health workers, who unsuccessfully tried to revive her, and the Local Police.
For the moment, scenarios other than that of an accident at the base of the child’s tragic flight, of Nigerian origin, are excluded. For the family it is a second tragedy in a short time: the child’s father died only two years ago in an accident at work.
