CALUSO. The pain of the family members for the disappearance of Fiorenzo Canonico, 60 years old from Montanaro and the investigation, entrusted to the inspectors of the ASL / To4 Spresal, coordinated by the Ivrea Public Prosecutor’s Office, which will have to clarify the dynamics and compliance with the safety rules regarding the accident, which the skilled worker was the victim of last Monday inside the Margaritelli di Caluso. The prosecutor of Ivrea has opened a case for manslaughter regarding the accident at work, with two suspects defended by the lawyer Luca Fiore.
According to the findings of the coroner, Canon died by crushing. After the virtual autopsy, the prosecutor gave the green light to the 60-year-old’s funeral.

A few more minutes and Fiorenzo Canonico, last Monday, would have finished his shift at Margaritelli spa, a world leader in the production of railway sleepers. The large area where cement processing takes place, including silos, crushed stone deposits and processing tanks, has been placed under seizure. After the accident, Margaritelli’s management had stopped production in that wing of the factory that employs 280 people, spread over three shifts, sending all the workers home.
