Moscow does not rule out the possibility of unblocking Instagram

This was stated by the spokesman of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 17 – Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov does not rule out that Instagram may at some point be unblocked. The social network has been banned in the Russian Federation and is owned by the Meta company, recognized as an extremist by Moscow. This was reported by the Russian agency Tass.

“Honestly, I wouldn’t rule it out,” Peskov told reporters. “They (Meta) refused to remove extremist materials, they refused to remove materials that contradict our laws, and they refused to discuss it for several years,” he added.

Peskov also recalled that the company had refused to open an office in Russia for several years, as required by the localization law. “If you respect the laws of the Russian Federation, of course, this opens up opportunities for interaction,” Peskov concluded. (HANDLE).
